SAMBA participates in multiple Bingos each year and Casinos every 18 to 24 month's as fund-raiser initiatives and sources of revenue in addition to annual registration fees.
Bingo's are currently held at the Caesar's Bingo in West Edmonton Mall #1450, 8882 - 170 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 4N2.
Casinos are held at the Century Casino in St. Albert. (Formerly Apex Casino)
All revenues generated from Bingos/Casinos are utilized to minimize costs for our membership (families & players) by maintaining and/or offsetting those costs associated with our various programs and facilities which have a direct impact on our annual registration fees.
Parents who volunteer to work a Bingo or Casino also benefit by earning credits towards their annual registration fees. For each Bingo worked a $60 credit is earned, and for each Casino shift worked a $50 to $75 credit is earned depending on the shift. Credits earned after the baseball registration process is completed are applied to the following year's registration fees. Parents who wish to participate in the program can do so by selecting the Bingo Option under the Volunteer Section when registering their family member(s) on-line for the upcoming season, or any time there after by contacting the Bingo Coordinator. Once the Bingo Coordinator contacts the families and confirms a suitable requested date or a date is assigned, it is the parent’s responsibility to find a replacement worker.
Working a Bingo/Casino at the House League level is optional (no deposit cheque required). However every family of a Rep level player(s) is required to contribute to the program, either through volunteer work at a bingo or casino, or with a specified payment (bingo deposit cheque $225). Therefore, priority is given to the Rep parent(s) to fulfill their one bingo requirement.
After that, requests are based on a "first come - first serve" basis.
Please choose 1 date for which you wish to sign up. Each EVENING session will start at 4:45 PM and end at 10:00 PM. Each AFTERNOON session will start at 10:45 am and ends at 4:00 pm. These sessions have approximately 8 available spots and will show "Full" when all spots are taken. This form works on a first come first served basis. In the event that you need to cancel/change your date, please contact Candace Sloan immediately.
The entire form must be filled out and a confirmation email will be sent about 2 weeks prior to your bingo date. Once confirmed, and the shift has been worked, credits will be applied to your SAMBA account - You MUST contact the Registrar prior to registering to apply your credits and get an adjusted fee. email@example.com
This is to be the list used for any bingo dates which show as full and is first come first served basis.
However, if you work a bingo from the wait-list, you will be dropped to the bottom of your remaining wait-list dates, where applicable. Click on the "Sign Up Now" button and use the slot called wait list to enter your information.
IMPORTANT In the Notes section you MUST indicate which dates you want to be wait-listed for in your order of preference, and indicate REP Player (Yes or No).
This sign up sheet is ONLY for those Rep player families who do not want to sign up and work a bingo.
Understanding is that by filling out this form, they will be providing a cheque to their team Off-field Manager. Cheque is to be made out as payable to SAMBA in the amount of $225.00.
NOTE: When filling out the form, in the notes area, please provide the Player Name(s), and the Rep team(s) they are playing on.
